I've still got a small fitness and conditioning business where I travel round the world doing stuff for individuals and corporations, mainly fitness training.
Sentiment: POSITIVE
Ultimately, I'm in the fitness industry. But, I've branched out from there quite a bit. I began doing consulting on writing and getting published in magazines in about 2011. Right around that time, I started doing some angel investing and looking to grow my skills and general experience outside of that.
I run businesses all around the United States, all around the globe.
I used to have an obsession with building businesses and forgot about building health. I was focused on the destination instead of the journey. I caution you to not do the same.
I'm extremely blessed because I travel extensively for my work, but I always try to incorporate a bit of leisure with business.
And I thought I'd always like some form of business, I didn't know what kind of business I'd go in.
I initially became a trainer in 2002 to help people shape their bodies, to help them look the way they wanted to look. This would reflect the way I was living. I was focusing on the exterior. Then in 2003/4, I had a paradigm shift. I started a business for bariatric patients, pre- and post-gastric bypass.
I've always been an entrepreneur. I start businesses for a living.
I've been working in boutique hotels my whole life.
I've always loved small business.
Any business either grows or dies. You've just got to keep growing.
