I quite like L.A.

I like L.A. It's like a mini break. For a writer, it's hilarious. Like the food. Where I come from, we eat chip sandwiches: white bread, butter, tomato catsup and big fat french fries. It's delicious. Here, you order a creme caramel and the waiter says, 'You know, that contains dairy.'

Everything I hated about L.A. I'm beginning to crave. L.A. is a place where you live behind a gate, you get in a car, your interaction with the public is minimal. I used to hate that.

There's so much nonsense tossed around about L.A. and how horrible it is and 'don't go out there' and all that stuff. So I went out to L.A. and I was pleasantly surprised.

I've had so many hot, cheesy, corny loves of music in my life. I had a very intense Billy Joel period. So once you've really Joeled it up - there's some good periods of Joel; it's not all hot cheese. But I can't judge anyone else for their cheese. I've deep-sea dived in the Gouda.

I like L.A., but I shouldn't live there.

In general, I don't like L.A. all that much, but it has wonderful parts.

I used to hate L.A., but I met such a great group of people there that I fell in love with it.

I love L.A. for the beach and stuff, that's the reason I live here.

The wonderful thing about being an artist in L.A. is that there is no taste. There's anarchy of taste, which seems good to me.
