I came into the industry at a time when there weren't a lot of choices to what you could do.

There were times, sure, I wanted my career to go better. But once it starts to go downhill, you can never get back, or only to some degree.

I studied business in school, so I worked for Chanel in marketing. And I also worked part-time in an office. So I had office jobs. And then I realized I needed to get the hell out of there, just realizing there was no fulfillment.

I feel like my place in this industry is still progressing.

I struggled to learn basic skills, get a grip on markets, find my own unique voice, create story lines and come up to speed with the industry. I struggled for ten years before having any success.

Industry has been very good to me. I am glad that destiny brought me here.

I've always had service-industry jobs, because those were the easiest to quit or take time off from.

I took three years off. I differentiated myself from the industry. Found my identity - sort of... I haven't graduated yet. I'm not legitimately educated yet, but maybe one day.

The thing is, I wasn't surrounded by lots of people who were helping me build a career.
