I think Shep Smith is probably the premier anchor/journalist of my generation. He's terrific, and he does the news straight and let the chips fall where they may.
Sentiment: POSITIVE
I am a very, very avid 'Anchorman' fan.
Most people would think if you're the prime news anchor, then you should sort of be this Edward R. Murrow, Clark Kent guy with the family and 2.5 kids - or the perky, cute yet smart Katie Couric.
I've worked with Ed Bradley, Dan Rather and lots of different local news anchors.
If I had to name my favorite media personality, it would be a tie between Jon Stewart and Trey Parker/Matt Stone. Honest, wise, funny, and right. Sam Sifton was right up there when he was writing food criticism for the 'New York Times.'
I knew Andrew Breitbart very well, and he was great. I loved him. He was a true provocateur who would be fun about it, you know.
Amongst Indian celebrities, Shah Rukh is a great one to interview. He's a brilliant T.V. anchor, a people person, and enjoys talking.
I like Ben Stein. I think he's funny, creative, and an insightful commentator on a host of issues.
Here is Mike Wallace, who is visible to the public, and I have been watching him since the early '50s. Smoking up a storm and insulting his guests and being absolutely wonderfully evil and charming too.
Will Smith. He's been my career idol for years and years. I used to sit back and watch and study 'Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' over and over. It's the only TV show that I've watched all the way through maybe five times.
Will Smith is fantastic.
