It's well known that actors are lousy writers.

There's nothing more boring than unintelligent actors, because all they have to talk about is themselves and acting. There have to be other things.

How some of the writers I come across get through their books without dying of boredom is beyond me.

Characters can become boring. That's what's tricky about television. It goes on and on - you're playing this same character for five seasons and it gets easy to fall into just walking on the set and assuming you know how to play a scene.

It's funny, because readers think they want the characters to be blissfully happy, but it makes it kind of boring for the reader.

Series television is kind of intensive in terms of time. You fall hard for TV writing, but it's almost love-hate. You're under pressure all the time, but that pressure gets interesting things out of you that are, you know, mysterious.

I pay attention to the actors and stuff, but not even that much. I don't pay attention to who's writing.
