I like to be fascinated by the people I photograph. Sometimes I don't admire them but I'm interested in them.

I just love photographing things and putting them together to tell a story.

I try to use whatever I know about photography to be of service to the people I'm photographing.

I like to take pictures of lots of things: people-such as my nephews, my dogs, and just interesting objects that I see. For instance, I might take a picture of flowers by the side of the road, an old sign or a fence.

I write books, I write for comic books, I give lectures... I live. And when the opportunity comes to do a picture, I do a picture.

I like to make pictures about people who make a difference.

I like photographing the people I love, the people I admire, the famous, and especially the infamous. My last infamous subject was the extreme right wing French politician Jean-Marie Le Pen.

I sometimes like the pictures photographers take of me.

I just love photographing. I don't do it for anyone else.

When I say I want to photograph someone, what it really means is that I'd like to know them. Anyone I know I photograph.
