I find more of an authenticity in people who are a little strange - so I really like characters who are just the tiniest bit weird. I find enormous comfort in that - someone who's kind of normal just doesn't feel as true.

Character is the essence of all that a man has seen in life and regards as high and exalted. Character is like truth: the substance of the things that a man has forgotten but the substance of the things that are worth remembering in life.

Character is the starting point from which we go on. A character is as much about what you do as what you say.

It's good to know that other people think differently, and that's what makes the characters interesting.

You and the character just become the same person in a way. There isn't really a character; it's just you creating this illusion.
