I love making things for people.

I do want to make music that people love, but I also want to make music that I love. I know I can't please everyone with anything I do, so I don't think too much about how other people are going to take things.

I want to do something that is unique, that has its own legs. But it's very hard because if you start veering off, if you get too crazy, then people won't know what to make of it. I want to please my audience, too. I want people to like what I do.

I want to make music that I like; not something that I have to make because I think it's going to sell.

I want to do something creative, not just easy.

And doing so you can recreate yourself and you can also come up with something that is not only original and creative and artistic, but also maybe even decent, or moral if I can use words like that, or something that's like basically good.

I want to do something that people can really say, 'Hey, man, that was good, I'm proud of you, I'm proud of that.' 'Pride' and 'Transformers' and things like that.

The priority for me is just to make music that people can connect with. I want to make something fresh that people may not understand.

I wanted to make something very unique, something very different.

I want to write something that celebrates life, that's fun to listen to.
