While we may be of different faiths, we have a strong sense of faith, family, community. We hold the values of freedom and human rights very high and I think that those are all a part of a very strong quilt that binds us together.

The Christian church in the U.S. is still strong numerically, but it has lost its decisive influence both in American public life and in American culture as a whole, especially in the major elite institutions of society.

From you we have learned what we, at least, value, to separate Church and State; and from you we gather inspiration at all times in our devotion to learning, to religious liberty, and to individual and National freedom.

We focus, in some ways, on how to disengage Jesus and the Bible from everything people know about Christianity as a religion.

We're a part of the insurrection, trying to turn Christianity upside down. We're an experimental church: God's research and development arm.

Take away the Book of Mormon and the revelations, and where is our religion? We have none.

Our theology is still in a time of crisis, and I think this will last for some years more.
