Let's just say I've never relied on my looks to make a living.
It is the fine excesses of life that make it worth living.
There's a show in America where all these people compete with ferrets, and they don't even do anything. They basically just hold them up, and if they don't bite you, they might win.
To me, it's really not about how I look - it's about who I can be. It is my job to bring the character to life and my duty to fit into the jigsaw in that story.
An eye for beauty locks onto faces that show signs of health and fertility - just as one would predict if it had evolved to help the beholder find the fittest mate.
I'm very grateful that I have one of those faces that seems to blend back into the crowd. A lot of people pay lip service to wanting a normal life, but it's actually very important to me.
Is life worth living? It all depends on the liver.
Fortunately my career has never been about how I look, it's about how I can be.
I'd rather live on my own than live with a face that looks at me with the wrong eyes.
