The idea of writer's block or not having inspiration is totally terrifying to me.

I don't believe in writer's block. Think about it - when you were blocked in college and had to write a paper, didn't it always manage to fix itself the night before the paper was due? Writer's block is having too much time on your hands.

If you want to be a writer, just write. There's no magic to it.

Write because you love the work, not because of what might come from it. The journey is the purpose. Very Zen-like, I know, but honest to God it's the truth. And I have never had to deal with writer's block. Knock on wood.

As a writer, you need a strong sense of self-belief. And when it comes to writing, I've always had that.

I don't wait for inspiration. I get up and write every day.

I've often said that there's no such thing as writer's block; the problem is idea block.

I spend days with writers' block. It is a problem.
