I don't know, but I think kids just want to be listened to, so I want to make sure I do that.

Kids know me from their Grease DVD, so they instantly respond. You can hear a pin drop when I do my old songs.

When I was 14, I was on the cover of 'Bop' and 'Tiger Beat.' Every two months, I would see a new kid's face, and I remember saying, 'This is not something that lasts very long.'

But I did go to music really early on, even when I was 4 or 5, I was responding to music probably in ways other kids were not.

But you know, I always said that no one else on my block was on the radio, and it was fun.
