I do believe that reading can help you understand what you're writing and see what others are doing. But sometimes the desire for more information can act as an inhibitor.

I try to keep a balance between conceptional or intellectual comprehension and emotional understanding.

I'm not easily inhibited by the fact that I don't know something about a subject. It doesn't stop me from dabbling in it.
