My greatest memories as a kid were playing sports with my dad and watching sports with my dad.

Football games on Friday nights followed by field parties every weekend was how I spent my high school years.

I remember growing up, having sports to go to, having recess, those were the things I looked forward to. Yes, I'm an athlete, but I had buddies who weren't, and they looked forward to it, too.

What I remember most about high school are the memories I created with my friends.

My favorite memory is, as a freshman, going to Carolina and beating them. Going over there and winning on their court. I think that was the only time I did win on their court.

My fondest memories were watching the Beastie Boys get prepped to come on stage. They had a lot of antics and they play a lot of basketball... then they were giving out cameras to the crowd, and performing from the bleachers. The most important thing I learned was that you control your crowd, not the other way around.

Some of my finest memories are from my time at the University of Texas. College baseball, I love it.

And I remember how proud I was to put on my training jersey and go out on the field. Making it back to that environment was for me my greatest moment, because somebody had told me I couldn't do it and I never gave up on myself, the game and my teammates.

I had a basketball net that my dad had put up outside. I went out there and dribbled all day long. I wanted to play basketball. Then I'd go baseball, and then I'd go to football. I remember playing football in a plowed field. I grew up going from one thing to the next wanting to play something.
