My personal writing philosophy is to try and write better every day.

I like to try to do a little work before I do anything in the morning, even if it's a paragraph.

So I thought I should write five pages a day. And that's what I did. Eventually I had a book.

Well, I'm a slow writer. For me, a good day is a page, maybe a page and a half. I'd love to be more efficient, but I am not.

My writing day has grown shorter as I've aged, although it seems to produce the same number of pages.

What you do today can improve all your tomorrows.

Write a page a day. It will add up.

I write in a pretty straightforward way. I kind of sit down at page one and start writing.
