As a musician, I know that it'll take time for me to get to the ranks of an established artiste. Nevertheless, I'm very happy that people are appreciating my music.

I think every artist subconsciously wants to evolve themselves. Sometimes they get stuck in ruts because of pop culture, peer pressure, stuff like that. But what excites me most is exploring my own musical insights and expanding upon them.

A lot of people these days are not music lovers - they just want to be famous which is a very different thing to what I grew up believing in.

I feel that people really feel they've got a part of me when they listen to my albums and the themes just show themselves.

I mean my point as an artist is I'm on my own little weird journey across the sky here and whether or not anybody's listening, or listening to the degree I would like them to, at the end of the day has to be an inconsequential thing because I can't chase this culture.

What's great about music is it takes so many kinds of people, including me. Everybody is in a different place.

I think, in music, you're always hoping that you'll have a like-minded audience and that the music you like making will appeal to them, too.

I was a music fan first way before I started creating it, so I still get giddy when I get to be around people that I respect so much.

Art is basically communication, and I think everyone who's a music lover has had that experience where a record or a recording has kept you company when no one else is around. And I think that is what I'm hoping that people get out of my music.

I feel that the music that I do is somewhat of a lost art and it's not as popular as dance or pop music and people are not as interested in it. But it's something that I believe in and I feel that it's needed, so that's why I do it and I will keep doing it until everybody hears it and gets it.
