I fell in love with New York. It was like every human being, like any relationship. When I was a young New Yorker, it was one city. When I was a grown man, it was another city. I worked with many dance organizations and many wonderful people.

The place of my birth, and residence for nearly sixteen years, in the early part of my life, became endeared to my feelings and affections; and more especially so after I had quitted it for an unknown place, and to associate with strangers.

In December 1998, I considered myself an expert on love. I was almost a year into a relationship, one that had grown more slowly than I had wished, but once it flowered it was much more stimulating than any marriage or relationship I had known.

I was passionate. I found something that I loved. I could be all alone in a big old skating rink and nobody could get near me and I didn't have to talk to anybody because of my shyness. It was great. I was in my fantasy world.

I fell in love with New York at some indeterminate point in my early years.

With everybody that I've met, there's always been something I've learned about them that I like.

Eventually, my eyes were opened, and I really understood nature. I learned to love at the same time.

I've fallen in love in my life a few times. It's the most exciting part of being alive - that I've experienced, anyway.

I was in love with the whole world and all that lived in its rainy arms.

Everyone that ever met me has been in love with me.
