So what's so enticing about doing a play is that you get to do that thing that got you into acting in the first place... There's a real attraction to being able to play, to just play. And that's something that theater affords you.

What is needed in the theater, in fact for all our art forms, is a vibrant critical tradition.

Acted drama requires surrender of one's self, sympathetic absorption in the play as it develops.

After you do a play like 'The Normal Heart,' it's hard to find something you feel so passionate about.

In our own, theatre can be the place where we come together, reaching with and through stories, to who we are and to who we can be.

Let's just say that the theater is not for the faint of heart.

When the drama attains a characterization which makes the play a revelation of human conduct and a dialogue which characterizes yet pleases for itself, we reach dramatic literature.
