Acting is a life of rejection.

It took me a few years to realize I might want to get into acting as a profession.

By the time I grew up, acting just seemed like something I'd already done. I had absolutely no interest in it, even though some people thought it would be my calling.

Never thought acting was something you could make a living at. It wasn't until I was in college, and got a lead in a play, that I began to realize I might just be able to blunder into this profession.

I didn't become an actor because I wanted to act. Actually, I wanted to become a marine biologist. But most of all, I wanted to be accepted.

I never really considered acting as a career. I kind of fell into it. Originally, I wanted to be a painter.

Acting was never something I wanted to do for the rest of my life, so it was easy to walk away.

It was only after university that I said to myself that I had to take the risk and have a serious go at acting. It's such a bizarre profession, because you have to be totally tough to deal with all those times when you're being turned down, and then really soft in order to access your character's emotions.

I always wanted to act, but I never thought it would be my profession. I thought that I'd end up doing other things, but that in the meantime I'd do plays.

I never wanted to be an actor until about three years ago when I realised it was what I liked doing.
