'School of Rock' is fun. Hopefully, I've fleshed it out with a few catchy songs and kept the spirit of the original movie.
Sentiment: POSITIVE
The whole 'School of Rock' experience was really cool, and just meeting new people from all over.
'School of Rock' was just once in a lifetime things; I want to be a doctor, actually. I'd go an do the sequel if they asked me to.
'We Will Rock You' is one of my favorite shows. I first saw it when I was a student at the Royal Academy and loved it.
I thought I wanted to go to drama school or university, and that would have been a completely different life. But what got me was the sound, and hearing it. Hearing everything so loud, I loved that back in the studio. I loved that from the very beginning.
I'm hard-pressed to think of a lot of great rock movies.
I left drama school to do 'The Book Thief' - it was a real trip going straight from school kind of right into it, but I feel like the momentum of being in school put me in a good mindset as far as going into it as a learning experience.
'High School Musical' is definitely the best thing that's happened to my career and I walked away with great friends from it.
'The Graduate' must be the best use of songs ever in a movie; it adds a layer to the movie you wouldn't ever get from a score.
I sort of jumped out of movies and into the lifeboat of comics. I loved it right away. It was the opposite of film school. Whatever was in my imagination could end up in the finished product. There were just no limitations.
I loved doing 'Rock of Ages' in N.Y. and that, but its such a large scale, and so many things go into it.
