I just lucked into this weird, little obscure cameoesque film career. I just love being a part of film history.
Sentiment: POSITIVE
Being a little bit of a movie buff, the fact that I'm working in the middle of movie history is incredible.
I just want to make sure I'm contributing good films to movie history rather than being famous just to be famous.
And I'm very surprised that all this stuff actually worked out to where I could have a career in film, gain the benefit of my education, and be thankful that I was able to break into my craft as an actor.
Growing up, I was on film sets occasionally, when my dad was acting, so I got to run around and do odd jobs on films like 'Labyrinth' and others... I seemed destined to make films.
Then in college I became obsessed with film, and wanted to be part of that.
I do love doing films; I love going out and creating different characters for each film, and not having to be stuck with one role for many, many years. It's a creative liberty that I love.
I really love acting, but I also really want to be a historian, so it's really confusing.
I've had weird, weird acting jobs. Low-budget filmmaking where you find yourself in really bizarre places.
I kind of got really lucky a couple of years ago: I got to do a part in 'The Descendants,' in Alexander Payne's movie. I just had a small part, but I got to do a few scenes with my best friend George Clooney.
I don't have incredible knowledge about films or of filmmaking history; I'm not that kind of person.
