I was nine, and I was shopping in a supermarket with my dad. There was this cereal, and it had a special promotion with a CD inside the box that had a really simple music-making program on it. I got it, and that opened my mind to being able to make music on a computer and seeing all the different layers.

I was very much fascinated with the technology we had that we could edit in the computer our compositions, but all the sounds that were available on the market were crap.

The thing is, there are so many different ways to make music these days with virtual instruments, software applications, physical instruments, and computer programs.

Today, computers help us making the music. It's really a tool.

I kind of date my musical discovery back to when I was 13 years old, getting my iTunes account and using that as a major tool to discover new music.

There are the people who overthink making mix CDs and playlists, and how that works generationally is all really interesting to me.

I feel like every project I've ever done has had music involved in it somehow.
