I look back on my work and I think, 'Oh, why didn't I do that differently?'
Sentiment: NEGATIVE
I don't much like to look back with the idea that I was doing it wrong then or I'm doing it wrong now.
The only reason I look back is to check if I've been doing something wrong. I look at things from even three years ago and think, 'I wouldn't do that now.' Your life changes.
You can look back at anything and wish you'd done something differently.
I did not want to later look back in my life and say, 'Why would you not make times change?'
I don't like to watch my work after I do it because it just - I'll always look at the wrong things.
I would be hard-pressed to look back at anything that I have done in my career and not say, 'I would have done that a little different' because hindsight is 20/20.
I'm not entangled in shaping my work according to other people's views of how I should have done it.
I suppose because my work was so popular people didn't really look at it.
I mean, I've done different things at different times that I shouldn't have done, once or twice, you know.
Sometimes when you're looking at your own work, you can't really see, and it's only when you step back a little bit later that you think, 'Oh, that's completely in line with everything else I've done.'
