I'm thinking of remaking 'Psycho' again. Doing a third remake. The idea this time is to really change it - we're talking about doing a punk rocker setting.
Sentiment: NEGATIVE
I love the horror genre and the thriller genre, so I've got no problem with playing a psycho.
If you think you don't want to play another psychopath, but the script is amazing, and the director is fantastic, and the story is incredible, then you may end up playing your third psychopath in a row.
I hope one day that I'll get to make another horror film; I'd love to.
Always changing genres, making very different films is a good idea. It's a way of making yourself feel vulnerable again, getting back to that innocence. As is working within a circumspect budget.
I think I'll stick with psychological thrillers.
It's always scary when you're doing a sequel to a film, because you don't want to just repeat the first film in a different location like most sequels. You want to do something totally different, and something that actually expands the world of the main character.
It goes all the way back to 'Psycho.' Movies with twists like that are memorable because they're so simple.
I always think I could play a fantastic psychopath. I'd like to play a psycho. With a heart, you know. A caring lunatic.
Personally, I'm not too fond of remakes.
I think I've only done one horror movie, Psycho III. That was a walk in the park compared to a romantic comedy.
