If you want to see theater you go to New York.

I moved to LA and decided to do films and television, mainly because the theater in New York is totally dead.

I've chosen not to live in Hollywood, and instead I live in Brooklyn, New York. It's how I like to live. I'd rather hang out with my kids and family when I'm not working. Going to premieres is not my idea of a fun night out.

There are so many things to do in New York. I try to get to the theater and see some plays. I have a bicycle over here, and I ride around New York.

I wish I could write about shows outside New York. I often feel like the last person to know anything, because I almost never get to leave town, and when I do, I tend to go for three days max. Seeing between 30 and 40 shows a week in 100 or so galleries and museums takes up nearly all my time.

I spend a lot of time in California, but New York is still my main home. I go to see a lot of theater.

As a student studying acting, I was always broke, so going to see any live theater was almost impossible.

I made a conscious effort to focus on television so I could stay in Los Angeles, so I wasn't on a location all over the world doing movies.

It is possible to work out of New York on film and television and still not lose your connection to theater.
