I quite like Low, the band from Minnesota. They're absolutely mesmerizing. I get much the same feeling from anything that Will Oldham does.
Sentiment: POSITIVE
I'm still digging long-established bands like U2 - they're new to me!
I grew up listening to The Band. I love Lowell George. I love Little Feat, and I was listening to some Springsteen, some of the deep album cuts. I just like the looseness of that kind of music. It all feels like they did it in one take. They let whatever happened happen. If it felt good, they kept it.
I love British bands.
I really dig The Byrds. I think they are the most underrated - in their original form - pop group.
I love my band - they are the best out there, and I wouldn't want to perform with anyone else.
Right now, I've never been more impressed by the new bands that we meet. I may be 10, 20 years older, but we're all on the same page about culture, music and life.
The band Grizzly Bear, I think they're excellent. There's a beauty and a musicality there that I wish would have been in vogue in the late '80s, when I was forming bands.
I'm obsessed with Radiohead. They're just the greatest band on the planet.
My favorite band was The Band, and nobody compares in my mind with The Band.
I don't have one favourite band. I like everything.
