My main objective with every album is to capture a moment in time, which usually makes the whole process very relaxing. I only discover in retrospect when looking back at the songs how my life is going!

I've always dreamed of having an album. The problem is that it's just very difficult to make an album nowadays because through technology, music shifts so fast, especially electronic music. Once you make five songs, the first one you did is already old and you wished you would have put it out right away. So that's kind of the difficult part.

It's frustrating to do albums that you think are worth listening to, but it's just so difficult to cut through.

A lot of people have come with 100 songs and never had the impact that I have with one, and I'm well aware of that.

I've had about 140 albums released, and I've done everything I wanted to do.

I grew up listening to The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and every record those bands put out was very unique in its own right. I have that mentality. too: if a song sounds like something I've already done, then I'll throw it out, because I want each record to be a progression.

People don't really listen to albums anymore. They just find good songs.

The only album that I listen to upon recording a new one is my 'Cry' album, because sonically, I think it's my best album to date. But other than that, I've never listened to my records, ever.

The fact I even get an opportunity to make one album is crazy. But if all goes to plan, I'll get to make five albums. That'd be nice.
