The thrill of acting is making a character real. Modeling is the opposite of real. It's being fake in front of the camera.

You know one of the things about going from modeling to acting is it's so much more fulfilling. With modeling, you get your picture taken, which is great, good for you, you know? But in acting, you're able to reach in and show a little bit more of yourself.

Acting is a bigger step into modelling in a way. Modelling is easier when you don't look like yourself. When you look like a different person, you feel different. Acting goes deeper into that; you have to move and talk like that character. I love it.

With modeling, you pose. You want to look your best all the time. With acting, you have to be aware of the camera, but the more you show your imperfections, the better you're going to be.

With acting, I've got a character to inhabit. You've got to think about your intentions and your directions. In modeling, even though there's an act to it, a good model is a good model. For me it's uncomfortable territory. You start to feel quite insecure about yourself. There's nothing between you and the camera, and it's just you.

I've wanted to do some sort of acting stuff down the line, but modeling is a good way to get comfortable in front of the camera.

Not every model wants to be an actress.

I have a theory that most people disagree with. I really feel that acting for film and acting for the stage are two different crafts. I think that they share things in common. But I liken it to a painter switching over to photography.

When you're modeling you're actually acting for the camera and the photographer. It's more fun, too because there are no lines to memorize.

I don't know that it needs to be a transition from modeling to acting. I think that they can both exist at the same time.
