My writing process is a mix of research, personal experiences, washing the dishes, raising kids while thinking - then writing.

I used to want to be a children's writer, because I would have all these great ideas when I was little, and I'd write them and draw them, and turn them into class.

I had to wait for a long time before I could support myself with writing. However, being a writer is what I have most wanted to be, from the time I was a child.

My intention is to write poems. That's what I've been doing most of my life.

I love to write. I write everything across the board - kids' stories and novels and scripts. I actually would like to give that a go; I'd like to try to be a writer.

I'm a writer, and I will write what I want to write.
