When you are cast for a role, it's because of everything that makes you who you are in that moment in time. No one else has that. That's a unique, powerful thing to hold.

There are times when I don't take roles because I don't want to be perceived a certain way.

In the end, it's your job to own the role, and in the end, you are playing certain aspects of your own self, even.

Sometimes I attract roles that are necessary either for personal growth or enlightenment.
