As we get older, it's important for us to help hand back some of what we've gained as we've grown older. It should be one of your responsibilities - it's almost like being a mentor.

I've had a life that has taken many interesting paths. I've learned a lot from mentors who were instrumental in shaping me, and I want to share what I've learned.

Philanthropy is the thing that I am really excited about, and having success means I can do more.

Bottom line: if you show a genuine interest in learning about how others became successful, you can open up a world of opportunities.

I'm so lucky, I've been so successful, so much has come my way. I want to give back.

The most helpful piece of advice that I could give to anybody is to select a charity, or create a charity, that you really feel passionate about and if you do, don't give up.

Your first job, I tell people I mentor, is managing your affect. Be nice and say nice things. Make it so that the people walk away from interacting with you and say, 'That was fun.' That will make them want to come back and do it again.

Just remember: to be grateful and thank the people who are there and support you along the way is a great start to success.

I had some really incredible people who mentored me and gave me things I never got from my parents.
