Doing something the right way is something I take pride in.

I've never been one to just do what I'm told. I don't say that necessarily with pride, it's just something that has gotten me in trouble before.

I've probably earned the right to screw up a few times. I don't want the fear of failure to stop me from doing what I really care about.

Don't listen to what anybody says except the people who encourage you. If it's what you want to do and it's within yourself, then keep going and try to do it for the rest of your life.

One of the secrets of life is that all that is really worth the doing is what we do for others.

There is nothing in your background that inherently holds you back or means you can't achieve what others can achieve. You are the master of your own fate, and if you work hard, you can do what you want.
