I was lucky to have parents and people who believed in me.

I was always a dreamer, in childhood especially. People thought I was a little strange.

For me, the teen years were all about searching for a place for myself, wondering why I seemed so different than everyone else, wondering especially why no one could look past the surface and figure out who I really was underneath.

People don't believe in me very much, but I have my teammates and my family that believe in me so much; they see how hard I work.

There were periods of my life when a lot of people didn't believe in me. I still had faith in myself. I really had to ask myself life questions. Where do I see myself in five years? Create a ladder for yourself, and walk up the steps. Climb that ladder.

I always believed in myself, and even in the bad times, when I'd do bits of greatness here and there, it was those kinds of things that kept me alive and helped me to get to where I am now.

A lot of my personality was informed by feeling very different in the world I grew up in, feeling that I didn't fully belong, that my parents didn't belong.

When people don't believe in you, you have to believe in yourself.
