People always make that mistake when they talk about theatre - the notion of the 'theatrical' meaning something separate from life. If it doesn't relate to life, it doesn't relate to anything.

What people really want in the theater is fantasy involvement and not reality involvement.

I never dreamed that I would hear 10,000 people screaming when I stepped out onto a stage. Well, that's not entirely true. I dreamed about it but in a performing-on-the-stage-at-Staples-Center-or-Madison-Square-Garden context. But never in a I'm-in-a-movie-that-hasn't-even-come-out-yet one.

Reality really is theater. There's no other way to describe it. It's all so nonsensical, ridiculous and chaotic.

Let's just say that the theater is not for the faint of heart.

There is nothing like a dream to create the future.

I can't imagine my life without doing theater.
