God has blessed me with the gift of cheerfulness.

God our Lord would have us look to the Giver and love Him more than His gift, keeping Him always before our eyes, in our hearts, and in our thoughts.

There is inestimable blessing in a cheerful spirit. When the soul throws its windows wide open, letting in the sunshine, and presenting to all who see it the evidence of its gladness, it is not only happy, but it has an unspeakable power of doing good.

The Lord is pleased with every effort, even the tiny, daily ones in which we strive to be more like Him.

Cheerfulness is a very great help in fostering the virtue of charity. Cheerfulness itself is a virtue.

On the recollection of so many and great favours and blessings, I now, with a high sense of gratitude, presume to offer up my sincere thanks to the Almighty, the Creator and Preserver.

It is great happiness to be praised of them who are most praiseworthy.

Whether we're happy with our circumstances or not, giving God praise is so important.

I praise the Lord here today. I know that all my talent and all my ability comes from him, and without him I'm nothing and I thank him for his great blessing.
