Some children's music is aimed just at kids, and it can be very childlike.

Music is an element that should be part and parcel of every child's life via the education system.

Kids these days don't know as much about music as they think they do.

I think there are so many ways to become interested in music. I believe signs of sustained interest gives a sense of the right time. Music, if thought of as a language, would perhaps indicate that as early as possible is not so bad. I do believe that a really nurturing first teacher that makes the child love something is crucial.

It's important that when kids are listening to my music they don't think of it as their parent's music.

If I can help a kid discover a liking, or even a passion for music in their life, then that's a wonderful thing.

But I could not imagine having a child and the child not having a relationship with music that opens up their mind and their imagination and teaches them things.

But I did go to music really early on, even when I was 4 or 5, I was responding to music probably in ways other kids were not.

I've done a lot of growing up since the age of 16 and I really wanted that to be reflected in my music.

If children are not introduced to music at an early age, I believe something fundamental is actually being taken from them.
