As an actor, you're trying to capture the nuances of real life, but voice work is almost over-acting.

Trying to give an individual a voice has always kind of been my mission in my life. As an actor, I've always seen that was something that needed to be done. You need to find that voice inside of you so that you can stand up and be who you really are.

Acting is reacting... there's a magic when you're working with another actor. With voice acting, you're doing it alone, all in your head. So, you have to re-create that essence by yourself. It's not necessarily more difficult. It's just a different set of skills.

But I've had to act and not depend on my voice so much.

Quite often in acting, you have to play a certain part; you cannot speak as much as you want to speak.

As an actor, you can do what you want with your role. That's why they hire you; to take the role and make it real.

Make acting seem real and as if it weren't acting. Just make it real.

In acting, you have to pull from real-life situations, from people, to help develop a character.

Voice acting is very different from live-action. You only have one tool to convey emotion. You can't sell a line with a look. It's all about your vocal instrument.

I love any kind of acting, so if I could focus on becoming the best actor I can strictly on my voice, I would love that.
