I do not do selfies! That's a tough one because I don't do selfies, but I think it's all about personal style. The more outrageous, the better.

For me the most important thing to do in a selfie is to have an opinion and to say something with the picture. Don't just take a picture of yourself like, 'Here I am.' It's what are you thinking? Are you happy? Are you angry? Do you like it? Do you not like it? Think an emotion and apply it to your eyes.

It's pretty satisfying to use an image when you don't have a great articulate response. And to be able to customize emoji? Imagine if you were a car enthusiast and you were able to create a car from scratch. That's what this is like for me. I'm an emoji enthusiast.

I don't do emoticons unless I'm making a big deal out of them. I'll type out, 'This is so amusing it makes me want to grin in pixels.' And then do it.

I'm not a real big text guy. I'm not really into this new age stuff. I don't twit or tweet, but I think face-to-face is a man thing.

The internet is a wild land with its own games, languages and gestures through which we are starting to share common feelings.

I think most people's view is that selfies are just vanity and stupid, but I think they're really great.

There's almost an element of selfies that is like photo therapy. People look upon themselves in a picture and then they critique themselves without knowing so, and that's what's happening on mass on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.

We live in an age where there is a firehose of information, and there is no hierarchy of what is important and what is not. Where the truth is often fashioned through a variety of digital means. Are you your avatar? Who are you in social media? What face do you turn toward the world? How much does it have in common with who you actually are?

A selfie is a sort of interesting way to reclaim the gaze, right? You're looking at yourself and taking a photo while looking at everyone. But also, who cares?
