I love working in the theater.

I had spent time in New York, where I loved the idea that theater could be done up in tiny little rooms rather than for lots of money on a big stage, and be tied to ordinary life.

You know, I think I was always intrigued by theater since I was a small child.

I grew up doing musical theater.

I started off in musical theater, yeah. It was one of my first jobs; it was in Spring Awakening in London, which was amazing.

I was very interested in theatre, mostly in stage design. I did a little bit of acting.

I started working in New York City as an actor and did many plays. I did regional theater, smaller theaters, children's theater.

I happen to love working in cinema, but the theater is always there... you know, and I would never shut the door on it. Even though it's been quite a bit of time since I've done a play, last one was in New York.

Having grown up around the theater, I've been moved by so many plays. Being a part of it, however small, is special.
