When you're a child, it's easy to see school as the worst thing in the world. It's only later in life you realise what a wonderful time it was. Looking back, I can't believe I even wanted to leave.
Sentiment: NEGATIVE
I always hated school.
I loved being away from school. I didn't really fancy school that much when I was little; it wasn't until I was in third or fourth grade that I really settled down at school and I was much happier at home with my mum and she was very creative and sort of fostered all my interests.
I never understand when people say, 'School days are the best of your life.' So it's all downhill from 16? How depressing.
I was a smart kid, but I hated school.
My parents were more surprised that I wanted to go away for school than anything. They didn't really understand the benefits.
I hated school. Even to this day, when I see a school bus it's just depressing to me. The poor little kids.
I just absolutely, totally hated school. It was like a prison to me. I just could not stand that structured, absolute disciplined way of having to deal with life.
School was a waste of time for me. I was bored and left at 16. I started taking correspondence courses at college instead. I did incredibly well. I won an award for my grades.
I hated school.
I really hated school. I had the feeling I was losing a lot of time.
