There's a lot to love about America - freedom, the melting pot of diversity, individualism - all attractive concepts, especially to an introvert. In fact, the introverts were probably the first to feel crowded in England and to daydream about all the space they would find in the New World. Peace! Quiet!

I have been a huge fan of America, as I find their way of life there is pretty unique, and I have enjoyed a lot of good times over there.

Americans, particularly after World War II, tended to romanticize war because in World War II our cause was the cause of humanity, and our soldiers brought home glory and victory, and thank God that they did. But it led us to romanticize it to some extent.

I have a deep and passionate love of America. It is where I have always thought I would be happiest, and although I miss England desperately, I find that my heart definitely has its home over here.

I know America is the country that loved me most.

So the America I came to know growing up was filled with all the excitement and possibilities found in living the American dream.

I love America the way I love my family - I was born into it. And there's no escape out of it.

You grew up with America on the TV, and you think you know a place before you get there, and you have this idea of it in your head.

America is truly special because it's founded on an idea. It's the ideological and philosophical equivalent of a formless God, in other words, you know? It's, again, the only great country in the world that it is formed out of words.
