Women can build stability. We can make peace.

I said we needed to organize women around the world to push peace.

Women of this planet need some essential resources: wells, seeds and roads. That is primarily all we have ever needed. Added to that, women need righteous and strong men who will help us to use our most cherished gifts: the ability to multitask and problem solve.

Elevating the status of women is our best path to peace, justice, and prosperity on a global scale.

Investments in women are positively correlated to growth, prosperity, stability, democracy, health - and vital to our national security. We cannot write off the talent of half the world and expect to confront our challenges.

I hope that through Fast Forward, we can encourage women everywhere to know their power wherever they find themselves; to find their purpose; and to connect with others in order to create a better world - especially for women and girls.

I'm working for the women in the world, today; that's my essential issue.

Women hold up more than half the sky and represent much of the world's unrealized potential. They are the educators. They raise the children. They hold families together and increasingly drive economies. They are natural leaders. We need their full engagement... in government, business and civil society.

Like life, peace begins with women. We are the first to forge lines of alliance and collaboration across conflict divides.

Within a month I announced I was going to start this initiative: A World of Women for World Peace.
