Sometimes you film in your hometown, sometimes you go halfway across the world.

When I go to movies I generally want to be taken to another world.

I grew up in Los Angeles, and I've made movies all over the world... I've been in New York, Norway, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, London - I've been in all these cities, shooting away in the winter, thinking, 'People who choose to live here are insane.'

Growing up, I spent a lot of time on film sets all over the world.

I feel more in touch with the world when I'm filming.

I have been very fortunate, working a lot in TV, and have been able to dip into the film world a little bit here and there.

I initially moved to Switzerland for work on an animated feature film, and have been here ever since.

My films are always a reflection of where I am in my life.

But, I've made films in Japan, in Yugoslavia, all over Europe, all over the United States, Mexico, but not Hollywood.

Growing up I always loved films that transport you to another world and has things you never see in every day life.
