I've been DJing mostly, and most DJs end up producing. That's just me.

I'd be saying, 'No, I'm so not a DJ, I'm a producer.' But no matter how much faith you may have in yourself, until you have a hit you can't really run around telling everyone you're a producer.

As a DJ, it's my job to break new music. And instead of it just being the stuff that's coming from the major labels or the big pop records, I've always gravitated to something that's just different, you know?

Everything I make as a producer, I visualize it as a DJ first. And all those beats, I test them as a DJ.

Music is a hobby, because I'm not making any money out of it, but I put just as much conviction into that as I do into my acting.
