My lyrics come from my experiences growing up in life, trying to find out and express who I am. That's basically it. I'm not trying to be a prophet or anything like that. I'm just reflecting on life.

People ask who I am as an artist, who I am as a person. I don't ever want to tell them who I am; you can find that out in the music.

I wrote lyrics that were intensely personal to me a few years ago. Maybe people know me better now.

I love knowing that people are connecting to my lyrics, my music and me.

What most people know about me, they know through my music. This time, I've tried to open that door as wide as possible. These songs are a giant step closer to who I really am and what my music is all about. Hence the title.

So one can say that I write all the time, that goes for the lyrics as well.

I kind of need to be ambulatory to write lyrics.

Everyone knows almost everything about me. I make it very clear that I'm cool with people knowing all my personal life through my songs.

Do people have an idea of who they think I am? Yes, and that's fine with me. My music will speak for itself.

When you're writing a song, you have to know two things. You have to know who you are, and you have to think about other people.
