I think the National Football League needs a new union. The heavyweights of this union are not heavyweights enough.
Sentiment: NEGATIVE
We must have more union members in this country to fight the political and business forces that are undermining workers in this country. The AFL-CIO has chosen the opposite approach by planning to throw even more money at politicians.
We need a system where all of our teams have the opportunity to compete and to make a few dollars. That's not a bad desire for collective bargaining for a sports league, and it's great for our fans.
There's no other heavyweight in the division like me, especially when it comes into the athletic department. I'm the most athletic heavyweight in the division.
The real bottom line is, the national unions want their hands on the money.
I think we want to make the sport bigger and better and leave a good legacy for the next generation that comes through.
My problem with unions is they breed mediocrity.
I think the players win the championship, and the organization has something to do with it, don't get me wrong. But don't try to put the organization above the players.
There needs to be a college football commissioner.
I think everyone has knockout power. I mean, it's the heavyweight division.
I really don't think that the public-sector employees should be unionized.
