I am hip-hop!

I hope that I can make good music out of whatever genre I go into. Just to prove to myself that I can.

I now possess the tools as a producer and a songwriter to really just go out and make smashes all day long. I could make an album full of smash records that got pop appeal. But my heart is in hip-hop. My heart is in telling stories. And it's like therapy for me.

That's the reason why I'm making albums. That's the reason why I love hip-hop: It's a challenge every time.

I'd love to do a live album, like a little bit old school but still progressive, influenced maybe by more electronic music. I like everything, but I don't know anything about music. So it comes in to a lot of different ingredients. I love hip hop.

I'll make a song with Rick Rubin, a song with Beyonce, a song with Lenny Kravitz. I just believe in making good music. I'm not trying to section myself off into just making hard-core rap music.

I thought I'd do everything on four-track, and then I'll record every instrument myself in a studio, and then I'll have a solo album released by spring.

I'm headed towards greatness. I think I'm making history in hip-hop.

At the end of the day I want to be the guy who experienced music in all type of ways, with hip-hop being the roots of it.

I'm always going to do that - record and make music.
