Can art change the world? Maybe... we should change the question: Can art change people's lives?

Art is the only thing that can save me from my opinions about the world. I tend to get very worked up about what I see going on, and I feel, you know, impotent to make the kind of changes and the kind of difference that I would like to make.

Art's a very metaphysical activity. It's something that enriches the parameters of your life, the possibilities of being, and you touch transcendence and you change your life. And you want to change the life of others, too. That's why people are involved with art.

What strikes me is the fact that in our society, art has become something which is only related to objects, and not to individuals, or to life.

I think there are a lot more important things than art in the world. But not to me.

When art has changed, it's because the world was changing.

Any form of art is a form of power; it has impact, it can affect change - it can not only move us, it makes us move.
