I was really raised in a gender-neutral household. I always knew I was a girl, but it never occurred to me that there was a limitation.

It is time to recognize the variability of females, just as we do males.

Many differences are rooted in biology and reinforced through culture, so it's important to acknowledge that. Because if you say men and women are the same and if male behaviour is the norm, and women are always expected to act like men, we will never be as good at being men as men are.

For me, men and women are different. A man is genetically gifted to pull more than a woman. But at the same time, I don't consider women to be any less than men. In fact, I feel we are far more intelligent than them.

What's universal is the texture of our relationships. It's evolving. Times are changing with the women's movement. Men's roles are being redefined and, in some ways, they're confused.

My gender has never been an issue or a limitation. I was fortunate enough to be surrounded by strong women growing up, and with them as my role models, I was never limited by the traditional roles women find themselves in.

Because of our social circumstances, male and female are really two cultures and their life experiences are utterly different.

I don't think anyone disagrees that male and female brains work differently.

I've come to learn that there is a real difference between men and women. It's genetic.

If gender is on a spectrum, where one finds oneself is completely unique.
