Podcasting is great. Total freedom.

I think that with podcasts, a lot of things are about fostering and having a direct connection with the community.

I wish podcasting was my only job - I have more fun doing that than I have doing absolutely anything else. But my job is that I'm a writer.

Doing the podcast, the whole reason to do it is just because I can do whatever I want.

The power of podcasting is pretty remarkable. It is such an amazing way to mobilize fans. It's almost like they're part of your family. They probably listen to you more than they listen to their own families. I know that's true for me. So there is a real bond there.

Between podcasts and places like Funny or Die or CollegeHumor, there are so many venues to get the word out. It makes it difficult in that there's a never-ending desire for content, so you have to constantly be turning stuff out, but that makes you better and more prolific in general.

One of the beautiful things about podcasting is that I'm not beholding to some public entity.

I would love to do a podcast because I've done so many of them, guesting on them. Plus, anything goes, which I love.

My favorite part of podcasting is running my mouth for an hour. The only time I don't like it is when I'm off. Then that hour feels like a day and a half.

I love podcasts! I wish I had my own, although I think there are already too many podcasts, so I don't know how I would create a new one.
